Guest Speaker : Patrick Lumumba (Speaker in The Hague & Amsterdam)
He is currently the Director of The Kenya School of Law since the year 2014.
An eloquent lawyer, he holds a PhD in Laws of the sea from the University of Ghent in Belgium. He is also a staunch Pan-Africanist and has delivered several powerful speeches alluding to or about African solutions to African problems. Prof. Lumumba is fondly known for his fearless speeches against corruption and misgovernment in Africa leading to the flight of African Youth from the continent.
In this event, apart from addressing the problems of Africa, he will also address the people from the Caribbean, who bear the emotional scars of slavery, and who seek healing from Africa but who find Africa hostile. The question is; Is it possible to unite with Africa , understand each other and work together?
Speaker 2 . Dr. Otieno Ong’ayo (Speaker in Amsterdam)
Is an Academic Researcher at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS)of Erasmus University. He undertakes research on migration and development, Diaspora transnational engagement and participation, Institutional frameworks and policy processes, Internal displacement and land governance, Civil society engagement in China Africa relations.
His theme will be: Re-thinking and re-positioning of Africans in the context of historical baggage and globalization
Speaker 3 Dr. JoramTarusarira (Speaker in the Hague)
JoramTarusarira is Assistant Professor of Religion, Conflict and Peace building at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He is also the Director of the Centre for Religion, Conflict and Globalization at the same university. He is a social scientist whose research interests, include knowledge systems, the role of religion in conflict and its transformation, religious non-conformism and cultural dynamics, religion and civil society, social movements, post-conflict reconciliation.
His Theme: Cognitive Justice towards Multiple forms of Knowledge
Speaker 4 Henna Linger (Speaker in Amsterdam & The Hague)
Is a GGZ social worker. She has previously worked in psychiatry. She now runs her own company and her target group is mentally sick clients who have returned home . Henna receives them and provides self-reliant tools and insight into their daily lives. She also provides treatment sessions as a therapist. ( www.hennalinger.nl )
Being a Psychotherapist, Henna knows firsthand the effects of psychological trauma. Could it be that her ancestors’ history is the stronghold in most of her client’s trauma? In her speech, she seeks answers from her African brothers.

Speaker 5 Dr. Francis ogbuli (Speaker in Amsterdam)
Dr. Francis Osondu Ogbuli graduated in 1992 with an MBBS degree from the Medical School of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria. He worked in Nigeria as a Medical officer till 1997.
In the same year he migrated to the Netherlands to join his wife, (a Dutch national) who is also an occupational physician. In 2003 Dr. Ogbuli obtained an MD from the Medical school of the Free University in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In 2007 he completed his residency training in Family/General practice. Currently he is the Medical director of OGBULI general practice surgery started in 2008 in Amsterdam.
